Windows 10: usb keyboards unresponsive or slow input

I just recently built a new computer and purchased the Windows 10 home OS on usb from Amazon. After about a month of use, my usb keyboard all of sudden stopped responding. So i went and got my old Asus usb keyboard and plugged it in and was up and running again. A few days later, when i restarted my machine Windows didn't start up the keyboard. So i unplugged the usb cable and plugged it back in, and windows then installed it.Sometime later, that Asus usb keyboard started acting up and when i would try and type, keys were acting laggy or did not respond at all. Some would spam the letter like

One possible reason why your keyboard is slow and unresponsive after an update may be due to driver incompatibility. As an initial recommendation, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to resolve this issue. Kindly follow the steps

• Type Troubleshooting in Cortana's search field and press
  Enter.
• Click on View All in the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices from the list and follow the prompts.

Keyboard input lag (Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, Windows 10 20H2)

Hi there. I've got yet another Windows 10 problem. lol

This time it's my keyboard. I'm using a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, on Windows 10 Pro 20H2. I have been experiencing keyboard input lag off and on for a couple months now, and I've searched for possible solutions, but none so far have worked. I was hoping you guys could suggest some fixes.

Here's what I've tried, based on the suggestions I've found on the web:

• Updating the keyboard/dongle's drivers (there are no drivers on Logitechs's site, oddly) and firmware. Nope.
• Swapping USB ports. Nada.
• Unplugging any extraneous USB devices. Zilch.
• Checking the batteries. No joy.

As I was typing this it was lagging here and there. It's a bit disconcerting. Anyway... I don't think I missed anything, but if you need more information or diagnostics, lemme know and I'll upload 'em.

 

Touchscreen unresponsive unless I remove the USB Input device driver

We want to know more about the issue that you're experiencing. Please provide us the following information:

• What USB input device are connected to your tablet when this issue with the touch screen is happening?
• What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far to fix this issue?
• Have you tried using your device without the USB input device?
