Windows 10: Usb Microphone Recognised as Line in

Hey, I'm having trouble with my superlux l401u usb mic as the headphones plugged into the mic work fine but the actual mic is showing up as line in instead of microphone and as such the recorded audio is very quiet, it was working originally but not sure what has changed, I have reinstalled the os, tried all the troubleshooters and tried different drivers, I'm at my wits end so any help would be much appreciated I have two mics and the other works fine but this.... Just won't for some reason

microphone stopped being recognised by Windows 10 - worked perfectly for two years

My microphone stopped working. Windows 10 just doesn't recognise it if I plug it in or disconnect it. It was working perfectly a few hours ago and nothing has changed. Any suggestions? If I right click on the speaker icon, go to Recording Devices its not
listed. And if I disconnect it by USB and reconnect it, it doesn't show any activity in the window relating to it. Any suggestions?

 

All usb microphone inputs not working


So both my adapter for xlr to 3.5mm jack input and my newly purchased usb microphone are not recognised. I've tried updating the drivers, using different usb ports, uninstalling the drivers and letting windows do it manually. Every time though, it's listed as having issue's in device manager... Can some help?

 

my computer can recognise my line-in microphone if I am in Google chrome but not Windows 10

My computer recognises my line-in microphone. When I go to my Spanish learning site in Duolingo using Google chrome there is no problem but when I go through Windows 10 the site cannot hear me. I have used trouble shooter and my headset microphone is set
as default. The sound dampening is set at 'do nothing' I have gone through the control panel and taken steps advised but still have this problem
