    So I just bought a new computer and am trying to use my old DJ controller but my PC says it has a driver error. So I try re-installing the latest 1.7 driver, that doesn't work. so I try the previous 1.5 driver, doesn't work. I try running the troubleshooter and it doesn't help at all. it also doesnt show up in the usb device manager as a usb device it comes up with a monitor icon.


    I have 2 usb 3.0 ports so I don't think its lack of power to the usb, also the deck has its own power supply.

    PLS halp me! I wanna buy my own controller or maybe other midi type devices for music production adn other thing like that, but I can't spend money if I think that it isnt gonna be a waste of money.

    not very sure of the specs on my computer.


    ive checked as many forums as i can and done everything the internet says to and still nothing changes

    USB midi controller and Windows 10 update

    Hi, I have an M-Audio Oxygen 8 midi controller keyboard that I was using through usb into a DAW (Reaper) for producing music.

    It was working until the last Windows 10 update, but now Reaper doesn't recognise that I've got the device connected...nothing shows up as a midi device.

    I've uninstalled all the USB connection in Device Manager, and the Unknown Device too, and restarted.

    The USB connections all appear again, when I plugged in the midi controller it was installed as Unknown Device with no drivers.

    What do I do?

    Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

    You can attempt to use a generic driver to make your MIDI work with Windows 10. Kindly follow the steps outlined on this
    link. I suggest that you perform the steps:
    Run a troubleshooter and Update the device driver. Kindly check if you are encountering any error codes in the Device Manager as well.
