Windows 10: USB Midi problem in WIN 10

Hello, I have a problem when using multiple identical generic USB-MIDI adapters where WIN10 does not differentiate them by Device Name. This causes my DAW cakewalk to have problems using them because it does not realize they are separate devices. I have changed their Friendly Names and it has had no effect. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Win 10 USB problems

Hi Guys,

I have an Asus A515 wit Win 10 os.

I'm using it for music production.

My problem is that my usb midi keyboard turns off randomly and I have to unplug and plug it again.

It is very annoying and stops again.

I have the same issue with other midi devices such as my e-drum.

I've tried the following power management steps and none worked:

1. un ticked that windows can stop usb device in device manager

2. change advanced power settings - usb settings turning off not allowed

In my old computer I never had this issue.

Any help very much appreciated.

Win 10 Pro with IE11 will not play Midi and Mp3 WEB site files

• This has been a continued Win 10 problem that I just recently have tried to overcome!
• With current versions of all this is how different browsers function

• Edge plays mp3 but not midi or asf
• Chrome plays mp3, with pop-up plays midi but not asf
• IE does not play mp3 or midi but does play asf
• Firefox plays mp3 but does not play midi or asf
• Safari plays nothing - "missing Plug-in" if it mattered!

No problem playing any in desktop computer - no errors online, just will not play, and as I previously mentioned all sound device drivers are up-to-date according to MS check for latest!
