Windows 10: USB Modem Has No Audio

I have a new USB Modem believed to be Conexant which I use for dial-out on Windows 11. It appears to dial out correctly but produces NO AUDIO. This makes the device useless as I don't know when to pick up the phone. I have tried many fixes, having Windows search for the best driver, uninstalling, re-installing, etc. Please help me find either the correct driver, or a replacement modem with working audio.

Sorry to confuse you - I was focusing on this 'fake modem' entry that I last reported on. I should have been focusing on the Conexant device, though I would still like to get rid of the 'fake modem'... Anyway, the Conexant modem device (with no audio) is:

Conexant USB CX93010 ACF Modem

Hardware ID: USBVID_0572&PID_1340&REV_0100

The diagnostics can successfully query the modem, but nothing so far seems to turn on the audio.

  Which network driver is on your laptop?
  

Note: To check the network drivers on your device, follow these steps:

  Right-click the Start button.

  Click Device Manager.

  Click the drop-down arrow under Network Adapter.

Issues with Dial up connection using Vodafone USB modem, Windows 10

We understand how difficult it could be. However, we would need some more information regarding the issue.

1. Do you see network signals showing as connected in the taskbar?
   
2. May I know the model of the Vodafone modem you are using?
   

Please refer to
Mobile Broadband Software for Windows 10 for the list of modem models which support Windows 10. We would suggest you to download the software utility from the article and check if it resolves the issue.



We would also suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to check for the drivers for modem.

1. Connect the USB modem.
   
2. Open Device Manager by searching for it in search bar.
   
3. Locate and expand Universal serial bus Controllers in the list.
   
4. Check if the driver are displayed under the tree.
