Windows 10: USB mouse disconnecting Windows 11 NOT fixed by power management

Since upgrading to Windows 11, my USB mouse keeps disconnecting. It's not the mouse, I've tried 3, and they all worked fine before the upgrade and on other computers. I looked this up, and tried the device manager > USB controllers > Properties > Power management > uncheck save power solution, but this has not helped in any way.There was also another suggestion: Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings, and to change the USB setting here, but I don't have an option to do that here.Any other ideas? I suggest you to Change the USB power management settings and check.

• 
  Open Device Manager.
  
• 
  Double-click the type USB to change power management settings.
  
• 
  Right-click the specific device you want, and then click
  Properties.

  On the Power Management tab, change the power management settings.

mouse is not working right


unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.

USB Device taking up too much power, must disconnect

I would suggest you to reinstall the USB drivers and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Key + X, and select Device Manager
• Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section by clicking on the
  "+" sign.
• Uninstall each of the devices under the
  USB Controller section by right-clicking on each one, and then clicking
  Uninstall.
• Close the Device Manager and
  restart your computer. Windows will automatically re-install the USB controllers in your computer, without you having to do anything further. Your computer will now run USB devices properly.

Also update chipset drivers for USB for windows 10 from the manufacturer’s website.

I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

The power troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix any incorrect power settings. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box.
• Click on Troubleshooting and select the
  view all option on the left pane.
• Click on Power troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
