Windows 10: USB mouse disconnecting Windows 11 NOT fixed by power management

my USB mouse keeps disconnecting. It's not the mouse, I've tried it on other computers it seemed to work just fine, when i lift my mouse up to reset mouse position it disconnects but the lights are still on meaning its still on but there is a problem with the drivers or something i don't know.I looked this up, and tried the device manager > USB controllers > Properties > Power management > uncheck save power solution, but this has not helped in any way.There was also another suggestion: Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change a

Since upgrading to Windows 11, my USB mouse keeps disconnecting. It's not the mouse, I've tried 3, and they all worked fine before the upgrade and on other computers.

I looked this up, and tried the device manager > USB controllers > Properties > Power management > uncheck save power solution, but this has not helped in any way.

There was also another suggestion: Control panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings, and to change the USB setting here, but I don't have an option to do that here.

Any other ideas? If it makes any difference, my mouse doesn't just disconnect, it disconnects and reconnects back and forth rapidly, so that I can't even use the touch pad on the laptop until I unplug the dongle.

Good day! This is and I will be happy to assist you with this.

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. See if reinstalling the USB root hub drivers makes a difference. Here's how:

Reinstall USB Root Hub

1) Press Windows key + X

2) Open Device Manager

3) From Device Manager, Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers

4) For every instance of USB root hub, right click and uninstall.

5) Reboot your computer every uninstallation and proceed to the next ones, once you have uninstalled all the root hubs check device manager again to make sure they were reinstalled back by Windows properly.

6) See if the issue still persists.

Also do check for any pending Windows 11 updates and install those. Don't forget to reboot after the installation of the update.
