    USB mouse wakes laptop, 'Allow this device to wake the computer' is unchecked


    My Windows 10 laptop is being woken from sleep by a USB mouse. When the mouse is not plugged in, my computer doesn't wake from sleep unexpectedly.When plugged in, the mouse has two entries in the Device Manager called 'HID-compliant mouse'. I have unchecked the 'Allow this device to wake the computer' box for each of these.In the Event Viewer, the source is listed as "Kernel-Power," and the description says: This system is exiting connected standbyReason: Input Mouse.powercfg -lastwake doesn't provide any information.How can I prevent this mouse from waking the computer? I don't know what else

    How to stop mouse movement from waking the computer?

    Thanks lgentry. I have a Microsoft wired keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. Under Device Manager>Keyboards it lists two "HID Keyboard Device"s and the Microsoft keyboard. Unchecking the "Allow this device to wake the computer" for the two HID keyboards fixed the problem as you suggested. Weird that one must prevent "keyboards" from waking the computer to in fact prevent the mouse from waking it.

    Troubleshooting PCs spontaneously waking from sleep

    Uncheck the "Allow this device to wake the computer" option for your USB devices in Device Manager.

    USB mouse wakes laptop, 'Allow this device to wake the computer' is unchecked

    Unable to hinder the USB mouse from waking up the PC


    In the Device Manager I went to Mice and other pointing devices > HID-compliant mouse > Properties > Power Management > Allow this device to wake the computer, and unchecked it. But still the mouse wakes up the laptop from sleep. Why?
