Windows 10: USB Plug-in sound NON STOP every 3 seconds, without any USB drive connected

hi,Since 2 months I had random USB plug-in an out sounds every 30 min-1hour or so. Not much of a problem.But since today, I'm having the windows notification pop-up and sound → USB device not recognizes : "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it [...]"But I have nothing new connected like USB flash drive. Even when I try disconnect my keyboard, mouse and speakers, the sounds still conitinue non-stop EVERY 3 SECONDS.For now, I have to let the warning pop up windows open and set notification sound for connect usb off.But I would lo

Plugging in usb drive stops music playing (usb drive is accessible)

This is a brand new Fusion5 tablet running Windows 10.

It plays sound correctly.

I can plug in a usb external drive and access the files on it.

But if I am playing music and then plug in the usb external drive, the drive is accessible but the sound immediately stops.

(If I plug the drive in and then start the music, there is also no sound).

Since all our music is on the external drive, this is not going to be an effective stereo!

Does USB connection improve SOUND?

Hey guys,
I bought a USB device that allows me to put my pink and green leads " from my speakers and my headset mic " I connected them in and put it in my USB device and my sound seems pretty different! I am uncertain if it is better or worse?? But I normally had a hard time hearing music from my left speakers until I connected them to a USB device instead..now I hear the right and left perfectly!! It appears better but I am also not sure what the story is?

Is the USB connection better??

I also have a sound card..is this making my sound card not being used??? since the connections are no longer plugged into the sound card??

help. USB drive isn't assigned a drive letter.

Any usb flash drive I plug into my computer isn't assigned a drive letter. The physical drive shows in the "safely remove hardware" but it doesnt show up in disk management. I have tried to populate the volume thru the safely remove hardware properties window and it does pop up in the list but it doesn't stay there. This isn't a format or assign a letter problem. It's more complicated then that. Maybe one of the services needed for usb drive management was disabled? Suggestions needed. btw external usb harddrives work fine.
