Windows 10: USB PNP microphone test 1% fix

I have a still currently sols mic that does not work with either desk or lab top. It shows as recognized and selected as default device. Volume on teh mic is st to maximum. How to get it to work?

Windows 10 April 2018 Update resulting microphone problems

In order to get around this issue, Microsoft recommends that you need to enable the microphone in your Privacy settings using these steps:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on Privacy
3. Click on Microphone
4. Turn on the Allow apps to access your microphone toggle switch.

PnP microphone not recognized in Windows 11

I just updated to Windows 11 and now my PnP usb microphone is not even recognized when I plug it into the USB notebook. I am unable to to troubleshoot it because it doesn't even see it. What can I do?

This issue could have happened due to settings of your Microphone. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you check your Microphone is not disabled and set as default. You can follow these steps to check your microphone settings:

• Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
• Now, right click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
• Select “Microphone” and click on “Properties” and make sure that the microphone is enabled.
• You may also check if the microphone that you are using is set as default.
