Windows 10: USB port not being read after windows update

Hi,I just installed Windows 10 update Kb5003173 last night and booted my laptop up this morning. When the laptop boots, no power goes to my USB connected mouse and keyboard. After log-in, my mouse gets powerlight on the underneath of the mouse. However the mouse is not being recognized by the computer, it does not move the cursor, both the keyboard and mouse aren't being recognized in device manager.I've tried updating the usb port via device manager, tried uninstalling and restarting the computer, tried booting in safe modethe devices were still not recognized .Frankly I don't want to res

Ok, let's see it with pictures step-by-step. First right-click on the USB device and select Update driver software:





Then select Browse my computer for driver software (LAST option) :





The select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer (LAST option) :





Then select the standard driver from the list and click next:





Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.

Method 2: Update USB controllers.

• Right click on the Start menu and select Device Manager from the list.
  
• Narrow down to Universal Serial Bus controllers and update all the USB drivers.
  
• To update the drivers, right click on the each driver and select Update driver.
  
• If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would suggest you to uninstall all the USB drivers from the device manager.
  
• Reboot the PC and it will automatically pick for the latest drivers for your PC.
