USB ports not detecting Controllers and Android Phone

Good afternoon and Merry Christmas !

I've just built my very own PC a few days ago and everything seem to be working just fine except for a few parts.
I wanted to plug in my switch pro controller to the computer but nothing happened : The PC didn't make the famous sound telling it's aware a new device got plugged in and the controller's charging LED did not light up.
I was surprised since I have a laptop and all I needed to do was to plug the controller for it to be recognized.
I've tried using every USB ports, different cable and different devices and here is what I got :
Every USB ports are functioning properly, my mouse, keyboard and headset are working just fine when plugged to any of my 8 USB ports.
The cable is also okay, I can plug my switch pro controller to my laptop and it works perfectly
My switch pro controller, ps4 controller and phone aren't detected. They do not show in the device manager when they're plugged in. There isn't any mention of an unknown device.

After searching for solutions on the internet, I've tried several things already like to uninstall every USB port's driver and restarting the computer.
I also my chipset's driver is at the latest version and third party programs do not help detecting any devices.

Something else I have noticed more recently is that my phone doesn't detect my PC either but it starts charging when plugged in.
Also, if my PC starts with my switch pro controller being already plugged in, the charging LED will light up and blink every 4-5 seconds. I couldn't find any information about this behavior. Lastly, if I de-plug and then re-plug the controller, the LED does not light up again.
It's been two days already and most of the solution that can be found on the Internet are for when the device is at least detected, which is not my case.
I really hope there is a solution given that if no controller is detected, I wouldn't be able to use one at all.

Thank you in advance for any tips !

    Lucas.

    :)

  2. USB Ports

    Hi Homer,

We'd like to ask a few questions to help us isolate this problem.

    • Have you tried connecting your device tracker to a different USB port on your computer?
    • If so, was it detected?
    • Did you receive any error messages?

To address this issue, we suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps shared by Praveen Venogupal on this

    link
    .

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

zune unable to detect my phone

    Hello riteshsingh5312,

Thanks for visiting the Answers forum.

I understand that you're having an issue with the Zune Software not detecting your Phone. Please try the following steps:

    1. Verify your USB Connection

    • Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click
      Properties.
    • Click Device Manager, located in the left column.
    • A window will appear with the name of your computer and a list of files. If you don't see the files, click the name of your computer. The name of your Windows Phone 7 should be listed under Portable Devices.

If your computer’s Device Manager does not detect that your phone is connected, it is likely due to physical connection issue between the USB port on the phone and the USB port on the computer. Possible causes:

    • You are not using a good USB data sync cable, like the one that came with the phone. Some phones are also supplied with optional “charging” cables that cannot be used to establish a data connection with a PC. Try another cable, if possible.
    • There is dust or debris in the USB port on the phone. Try using a can of compressed air to clear the USB port on the phone to ensure a good connection.
    • The USB port on the computer is bad. Try connecting to another port.
If this does not resolve the issue, please try the rest of the steps located in this support article:
