Windows 10: USB Ports stop charging after 15 minutes?

hi guys,

I have a new DSLR camera, which they equipped with a usb-c connector on the camera's end, great!

It's supposed to charge with that plug as well, in fact it does, HOWEVER something funny is happening:

When i plug the camera via that cable to my PC, either usb-c to usb-a or usb-c to usb-c i noticed that after 15 minutes the camera stops charging. There's an orange light on the camera when it charges, it's turned on with camera OFF (it only goes orange if the camera is OFF).

This happens both on a straight connection to my laptop (with AC on) and also on my HP G2 usb-c hub, which has its own adaptor as well.

I have also a JBL bluetooth speaker which charges on usb-c too and that one goes with no issues for 2-3 hours straight until the speaker is fully charged, whether i am on the PC or via the hub, even without the PC.

is it a setting somewhere on the PC or the camera itself since the JBL charges fine?

USB 2.0 Ports Stopped working

Hello,

I recently noticed my USB 2.0 ports have stopped working, but my USB 3.0 port is functioning perfectly.

Steps i have tried:

- Restarting

- Searching for device changes in Device manager

- running troubleshooter

all these suggested fixes didn't remedy the issue, its a bit of an inconvenience that i only have one functioning USB port

Mouse stops working after 15 minutes


Any assistance with this one would be appreciated as I am out of ideas...

My wife's laptop, a Packard Bell Easynote, has developed a problem whereby the wired mouse stops working after about 15 minutes use. Changing USB sockets does not help, and only a full restart starts the mouse again for about 15 minutes. This is the case for two mice, one a Dell mouse and the other a Lenovo one.

The computer beeps when a mouse is connected/disconnected to/from any USB port while the mouse is not responding suggesting that they are still powered, and I have attempted to fix by updating the drivers with no change.

This was also happening with Windows 7 and has transferred with the upgrade to Win 10?

System specs are - Easynote TS, Intel core i5, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD using Intel HD graphics 3000

USB Port Oddities


Ok, let's see it with pictures step-by-step. First right-click on the USB device and select Update driver software:





Then select Browse my computer for driver software (LAST option) :





The select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer (LAST option) :





Then select the standard driver from the list and click next:





Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.
