Windows 10: USB Printer does not work after installing Windows 10 2004 same issue also with 20h2

I have a ricoh AP410, it is working fine with 1909 OS build 18363.1139 but my pc keeps trying to install latest version 2004 and this cause my printer to stop working previuously I tried 20H2 but this had same issue.


I have done fresh install of printer drivers, run print trouble shooter but no errors.


WHen I send print to the USB printer, the data in light on my printer flashes for 1 sec , the print job queue clears but nothing prints.

I have same issue on another pc.


I have tried to install patch KB4567523 but get message not appicable for my pc I have downloaded the correct X64 version for my pc.

I am at a loss what to do. I have seen many other posts since updates from june this years which suggests there is a bug with windows, but can't find a fix.

At the moment I can only pause the updates but this is hardly a solution

Printer not working On version 2004

I have recently changed some of my family's pc to SSD drives.

After doing fresh installs of Version 2004 my printer (ricoh AP 410) does not print.

I have one PC which runs 1909 which works although in the summer I had to remove an update that caused the same issue.

I have reinstalled drivers, run the printer trouble shooter and installed patches that have been suggest on these forums but no good ( there seems to be quite a few printer issues since the summer due to updates).

When I print the LED light data in on my printer flashesfor approx 1 sec but does not run the printer. The printer job in the queue them clears.

The OS build 19041.572 version 2004 window 10 home does not work , I did also try the 20H2 but that also did not work.

Any suggestions

 

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?
That would be the ideal alternative. Thanks

 

Mac OSX USB printer problem

OK i just bought the Canon IP4500 usb printer and installed it on the mac following hte instructions to the letter.

No printer is found and i cannot add it in the Printer list, cause theres no option for USB printer installation, only Appletalk, Bluetooth, and Windows Printing.

I have downloaded the latest drivers etc... but no luck *Bang Head :banghead:

As it is i dont like macs but now with a simple thing as this i dislike them even more.

Last resort is trying installing the printer on a Vista pc and see if it works, if it does then the mac is up to shit, if it does not install then the printer is up to shit.

Anyone had a similar problem maybe and how did you overcome it?
