Windows 10: USB Root Hub Drivers

Hi there, I have a major problem. I have a desktop using an ASUS Motherboard, I am sending this from my laptop. I was having problems with getting USB flash drives to mount.Getting the Yellow triangle in Device Manager in Other Devices.I uninstalled the USB root hub and restarted Windows to find that the drivers did not reload and Windows could no longer see any of my USB devices. The keyboard and mouse work in BIOS and the Support System but when you get to the Startup Page the USB keyboard and mouse are no longer seen.Is there a way to get hold of the Generic USB Drivers that are in the Wind

Incompatible USB hub driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend uninstalling the USB Root Hub driver and see if it helps. Follow the stepes below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand.
  
• Right-click USB Root Hub, then click Properties.
  
• Go to the Driver tab.
  
• Click Uninstall.
  
• Restart your computer.
  

Note: Restarting your computer will automatically reinstall a generic driver for your computer. Also, we suggest connecting your USB hub while performing the steps.

If the issue still persists, let's disable the USB selective suspend settings thru Power Options to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Type Power Options in the search box, then press Enter.
• Locate USB settings > USB selective suspend settings.
• Select Disable.

my USB root Hub 3.0 & VIA XHCI Driver microsoft 1.0 isn't showing up on device manager, please help me?

I see. If the XHCI driver is not showing up in Device Manager even after enabling it in the BIOS, it's possible that the driver is not properly installed.

When you tried to reinstall the XHCI driver, did you download it from the manufacturer's website or did you use Windows Update to install it? If you used Windows Update, I would recommend trying to manually download and install the driver from the manufacturer's website instead.

Also, when you uninstalled the XHCI driver, did you also uninstall the USB root hubs? Uninstalling the USB root hubs can sometimes resolve issues with USB devices not working properly. To uninstall the USB root hubs, follow these steps:

Open Device Manager.

Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section.

Right-click on the USB root hub you want to uninstall and select "Uninstall device."

Repeat this process for all USB root hubs listed.

Restart your computer.

After your computer restarts, Windows will automatically reinstall the USB root hubs.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with your USB controller. In this case, I would recommend seeking assistance from a manufacturer support.

 

USB Root Hub driver failure on Lenovo T470

After hibernation, the USB ports don't work. When I inspected the drivers, I found that the USB root hub driver was reporting the following errors:

#The USB hub failed to reset.

#Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

#on Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)

I have tried reinstalling the drivers and also tried to disable both the "USB root hub" and the "USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller" from going to suspension on sleep or hibernation but the problems still persist on all our T470 laptops.
