  2. USB HUB

    Hi,

Incompatible USB hub driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend uninstalling the USB Root Hub driver and see if it helps. Follow the stepes below:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand.
    • Right-click USB Root Hub, then click Properties.
    • Go to the Driver tab.
    • Click Uninstall.
    • Restart your computer.
Note: Restarting your computer will automatically reinstall a generic driver for your computer. Also, we suggest connecting your USB hub while performing the steps.

If the issue still persists, let's disable the USB selective suspend settings thru Power Options to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

    • Type Power Options in the search box, then press Enter.
    • Locate USB settings > USB selective suspend settings.
    • Select Disable.

Keep us in the loop with the result.

Error Code 38 for USB Devices

    Hi.

Could be that the USB Root Hub is corrupted.

What is currently connected to your USB ports?

OK. I see that you are not online just yet.

Eject any USB External Storage Devices, and remove when prompted.
Next, disconnect all other USB devices except the mouse and keyboard. Power them off.

Then go into Device Manager and uninstall each device under USB Serial Bus Controllers.
Uninstall the device driver for each listing except for keyboard and mouse and USB Root Hub.

Then delete the devices one by one, except the keyboard/mouse and USB Root Hub.

When everything is complete delete the USB Root Hub - each instance if you can.
You may find that your system is suddenly locked. This is normal.

Restart your system manually by Powering off and then Power on - wait and let the USB Root Hub regenerate.

Login and install each device, except for the keyboard and mouse, one at a time and check.

    Post back with your findings.

    Thanks!
