Windows 10: USB Root Hub USB 3.0 Stops working every time I shutdown or restart my computer.

I have been having problems with my USB ports lately. Whenever I shut down or restart my computer the USB Root Hub second on the list in device manager stops working, this includes almost everything connected to my computer via USB except my mouse.The only solution I found would be to disable and reenable the Root Hub in the device manager. However, this doesn't always work, and sometimes I have to unplug every device connected via USB, disable and reenable the Root Hub, then plug everything back in. Of course, I could do this every time I start my computer up, but it gets annoying and tedio

Incompatible USB hub driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend uninstalling the USB Root Hub driver and see if it helps. Follow the stepes below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand.
  
• Right-click USB Root Hub, then click Properties.
  
• Go to the Driver tab.
  
• Click Uninstall.
  
• Restart your computer.
  

Note: Restarting your computer will automatically reinstall a generic driver for your computer. Also, we suggest connecting your USB hub while performing the steps.

If the issue still persists, let's disable the USB selective suspend settings thru Power Options to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Type Power Options in the search box, then press Enter.
• Locate USB settings > USB selective suspend settings.
• Select Disable.

USB Root and Generic Hub not reinstalled.

Hi,

My lenovo laptop suddenly stopped recognising any of the USB Ports. I checked in Device Manager -> USB Serial Controller.

Uninstalled Generic And Root Hub (Thinking that will be reinstalled after restart).But after restarting it is not showing Those usb hub installed . Neither USB Port Working Nor reinstalled .

P.S. I have tried all the solutions to fix (searched on the internet). but still no luck,

Please help me.

We would like to ask a few questions that may help us sort out and address the problem that you currently experience. Please help us verify the following:

• What device is connected to your computer?
• Is the device showing as USB Root Hub (USB3.0) in the Notification Area the same with the device that shows Unspecified USB Root Hub (USB3.0) in Devices and Printers?

While waiting for your response, we suggest that you disconnect that USB device, then restart the computer. Once the computer to fully boot up, wait for 5 seconds before you reconnect the USB device.
