Windows 10: USB Selective Suspend keeps enabling itself, driving me insane.

This started about 4 days ago, no Windows updates from what I can tell.

Windows 20H2: 19042.685

I suspect the issue runs deeper than just that setting though. I was using the Ryzen Power Plan, but switched it to high performance. In either case, for both I ensured that USB Selective Suspend was disabled. Going into device manager, I have a number of USB devices and I have to right click, go to power plan, and disable "turn off this device to save power" every time I restart my computer. It always re-enables itself. I don't know what to do, this was never an issue before and I have no clue why it's just started now.

It's driving me nuts and I'd love any ideas.

USB selective suspend settings not available?

Hello Grant,

To answer your question about USB Selective Suspend Settings, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X.
• Choose Power Options.
• Select Choose when to turn off the display.
• Open Change advanced power settings.
• Expand USB settings and USB selective suspend setting.
• Select Enabled (default) or Disabled.
• Click Apply, then OK.
