Windows 10: USB Sleep mode: how to disable it at all.

thanks for that great community. I tried all the solution on the Web to avoid the sleeping mode of my USB hard drive with no success with the build 10162 of Windows 10 64Bit.
Did you have a working solution?

Netgear USB WiFi Adapter Cutting Out

Thanks for the prompt reply, unfortunately your solution was of no assistance, my adapter wouldn't even show up within the Network Settings.

The issue resided with Sleep Mode: when sleeping, a USB Wi-Fi adapter will be disabled (thanks to a MicroCenter employee) and the only solution they knew of was to simply turn off Sleep Mode.

 

Sleep mode does not disable on Windows 10

I have the same issues:

• I have all the updates.
• I disabled sleep in every way possible (please don't offer instructions on how to disable sleep...I already did this).
• After about two minutes of inactivity, the computer enters sleep mode.
• One way that I found to prevent this from happening is by running Amazon's music app and a playlist. While the playlist is running, the computer doesn't enter sleep mode.

I know I'm not the only one with this issue and have seen requests for help on various websites. What's frustrating is that the responses typically include the standard instructions for disabling sleep mode, which doesn't work.
