    USB Speakers Drop Sound When Opening Outlook


    Ordered some Pebble V3 USB speakers for my computer. They have been seemingly randomly dropping sound while listening to music or teams calls. The power light stays lit, the music keeps playing, if I quickly cycle the power on the speakers the sound returns.Today I noticed that the sound drops when opening Outlook. I repeated this several times to confirm. Just to be clear, it doesn't only happen when opening Outlook, its just one instance I have been able to confirm.I found other examples of this happening with the Pebble speakers online with no solutions.     Ordered some Pebble V3 USB speakers for my computer. They have been seemingly randomly dropping sound while listening to music or teams calls. The power light stays lit, the music keeps playing, if I quickly cycle the power on the speakers the sound returns.

    Today I noticed that the sound drops when opening Outlook. I repeated this several times to confirm. Just to be clear, it doesn't only happen when opening Outlook, its just one instance I have been able to confirm.

    I found other examples of this happening with the Pebble speakers online with no solutions. I'm beginning to think its the computer and not the speakers due to the Outlook thing.

    Drivers are the latest.

    Windows 11, Dell Precision 5680

    Any ideas on this bizarre behavior?

    This issue might be caused mainly because of drivers. For us to better assist you, please provide us the answers to the following questions:

    • What are the results from the
      troubleshooter      ?
    • Were you able to follow for the next steps of action?
    • What is the make and model of your USB speaker?

    USB Speakers Drop Sound When Opening Outlook

    Brand New USB Speakers Not Working

    Hi Dan

    Click your Sound icon at the bottom right, do you see those speakers listed there?

    If not, right lick that sound icon and choose 'Open Sound Settings'

    In the top drop down 'Choose your Output device' are those speakers listed there?

    If not, click the Troubleshoot button and see if that can rectify this for you.

    If not, what is the exact Make and Model of those Speakers?
