Windows 10: USB tethering NOT WORKING on new built PC

Hello there,I built my first gaming pc a couple of days ago after my gaming laptop broke.I always used to connect my iPhone to my laptop via USB in order to use my phones connection since it ha 5G, but with this new built PC i'm unable to do this since i can't even use wifi connection...My PC simply won't detect my phone and i tried to update my network adapters but somehow i can't do that either.. my ONLY options is ETHERNET connection, but my country has really BAD internet quality.. i need help, please...PC motherboard if it might help..MSI B550 GAMING PLUS

USB Tethering Still Not Working???


so, the same as usual when it comes to my luck: I'm trying to tether my internet connection from my note 5 to my PC via USB, and it doesn't work. here are a few details that I can give you of what occurs when I try to do this:

I plug in my phone via usb, and it recognizes it off the bat.
I go to my settings in android and enable usb tethering.
windows makes the sound that happens when you disconnect a device, then proceeds to slow down. WAY down.
I hover over the network icon in the system tray, and it just shows the line for loading or identifying.
clicking on the icon or trying to open the network and sharing center while I'm in usb tether mode results in nothing.
I did however manage to disable tethering, them open the network and sharing center, then enable my usb tethering. from there, it shows my device in the center, but says that it is disabled.
I right click and select ENABLE, it says "ENABLING", then "ENABLED", but does not actually enable my device.

 

USB Tethering creating new names each time.

I have the same problem. And it seems to be a universal one. Stack Exchange has a solution:

The only downside is that the network icon in the notification area doesn't work properly. Is there a way to stop adding new names AND make the network icon work?

Regarding your questions:

• Windows 10 is updated
• drivers are updated
• This issue always occured. (started using usb tethering one week ago)

• Click Start.
• On the search bar, type Command Prompt and then right-click
  Command Prompt in the list.
• Select Run as Administrator, and then select Yes.
• At the command prompt, run the following commands in the listed order, and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:
  • Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
  • Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
  • Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
  • Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
  • Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter
