    USB thumb drives ID issues


    I have 2 USB thumb drives that are not working. It has been awhile since I dealt with them, but, just ran across them and want to fix them. As I recall, one of them has an ID that matches one of my HDDs. I am guessing that happened somehow when I was wanting to clone a partition to the USB drive. The other is missing the ID completely. Neither drive shows up in File Explorer, but, show up in Disk Manager and a couple of 3rd party partition managers. I have tried everything I can find online from trying to change the drive letter there isn't one to uninstalling/reinstalling to updating

    I am attempting to do a clean install of Windows 11. (Aurora r13) installation media on a USB thumb drive.

    I was able to successfully create the installation media on a USB thumb drive. However, when I performed the steps for the actual installation I got up to the Use a device screen but my thumb drive does not appear on the list. The two options that do appear are: Onboard NIC (IPV4) and Onboard NIC (IPV6). Suggestions? Thanks.

    Thumb drive issue

    W10 won't recognize my USB thumb drive. Would like to be able to install music to this drive, but doesn't show up on

    "Send To" list or on the drives shown in "This PC". Never had this issue in W7 Home, so wondering if there's a fix for W10.

    How do I make a computer boot from a USB thumb drive?

    Move WHAT to the top? None of the items are a USB thumb drive. Furthermore USB HD is listed twice and USB floppy/CD is also listed twice.
