Windows 10: USB to HDMI output does not work - even through a docking hub

I have a fairly new HP laptop purchased this year 2022 with Windows 11 installed. For video output there is just one HDMI port on the laptop. My goal is to be able to connect and use two separate monitors.In order to extend and use more than one monitor, a USB hub or docking station i'd imagine should work. I have tried to connect two different hubs / docking stations with HDMI outputs to various USB ports on the laptop. The USB hub works for expanding USB ports just but not for video output no matter what.The first error I receive when plugging in a hub isisplay connection might be limited

On Device Manager I see the warning on the USB device with :

I have tried everything from Windows updates, device driver uninstall / reinstall / update, add / remove device etc. It does not work.

What could be the problem here that I can't get a video output to the HDMI monitor via USB through a dedicated hub from the laptop? I can't imagine that my USB bus wouldn't support this. Thanks in advance for any help.

The direct HDMI output works of course for one monitor. The issue is trying to get a second monitor connected via USB and an external hub. It seems that simply the USB on the laptop doesn't even support display output, which is surprising. I would've expected all newer laptops to support this.

 

2 HDMI C docking station not working.

Hello there I have a laptop ASUS VivoBook S15 and I haven't been able to set up double monitors via C hub/ dock. I've tried to find a solution online but nothing seems to be working. Both monitors work when I connect them directly to the laptop. I've also done the following:

• update drivers.
  
• check cables and connection.
  
• Display settings ( multiple displays, detect other displays etc.)
  

laptop: ASUS VivoBook( i7, 12GB RAM, Windows 11)

Dockstation: HUB Docking Station Tipo-C, w/ Duplo HDMI , USB, VGA, RJ45, card reader, Jack 3.5mm and Tipo-C PD

Is this because of Windows 11?
