Windows 10: USB transfer speed graph in a zigzag pattern.

So I was copying movies from my ssd to my pendrive and the speed was fluctuating. But it was in a uniform zig zag pattern, one moment it was 20 MBps and then it was around 700kBps. My laptop was plugged in and MSI center was not on battery saving or AI mode. It was performance mode. So I think windows is doing something here. Please I need a fix. My laptop: MSI Modern 15 A5MUSB: Apacer AH357 64GBNote: It doesn't happen on another usb, though that old one only reaches about 5MBps at best.

• What type of files were you trying to transfer?
• When you say USB transfer speed, are you referring to the speed when transferring the files from that computer to another device, or the other way around?
  
• Did you do any updates to your computer prior to this issue? Was it working fine before?

Cant see the transfer rate..graph like thing which shows speed and all. How do i see it?

I realize that you are facing the issue with slow data transfer, let me assist you.



This issue might occur if the temporary system files/junk files are not cleared in the system.

To clear the temporary files, follow the below steps.

• 
  Press Windows key +R key and type
  %temp% and press Enter key in the Run
  window.
  
• 
  Select all the files and folders and delete them.
  

As per the issue description, I realize that you have set the priority of
Explorer to High and this might result in unusual behavior of some applications. So I suggest you to set the priority of the
Explorer to Normal.



Regarding the data transfer graph, let us know whether you can see/click on
More details option in the copying window.

If you can see More details option, click on it to show the data transfer graph.

Thanks for showing interest in my issue.

1. MP3, movies, and all sorts of files.

2. Computer to Pen drive & vice-versa.

3. No, no updates.
