  1. USB Wi-Fi adapter showing up as removable

Running a fresh install of Windows 10 version 21H1, fully updated.I'm using a USB Wi-Fi adapter because my motherboard's Ethernet port stopped working after a lightning struck my home. This adapter currently shows up as a removable device which it is, but I'd like to trick Windows into thinking it's not removable.I really just want to get rid of the tray icon being constantly displayed for something I don't plan on removing.I have done this plenty of times for internal SATA drives that Windows 10 would recognize as being removable / external,it requires a quick registry key addition, called T

    USB Wi-Fi Adapter Disabling

Is it on Windows 8's compatibility list (check MS website- forgot link)?

I had an issue with one Wi-fi adapter and it wasn't listed as compatible- All was well when I swapped it out with one on the compatibility list

    USB Wi-Fi Adapter Disabling

I have tried reinstalling windows, no help at all and it didn't do this on windows 7.

I'm not sure if its on the compatibility list or not, i will have to check.

I'm not sure what that is, I will look in to it though. As for the AMD USB filter driver. I assume anything is possible.
