Windows 10: USB001 printer port missing in Windows 10

Hi, I have a Brother HL-1110 USB printer, no wireless capability, and my laptop no longer sees it as a printer. Edition Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Installed on ‎2/‎06/‎2021 OS build 19043.1023I noticed in Print Server properties there is only LPT1, LPT2 and LPT 3 - No USB001 port available - even when printer connected.No Brother drivers - even when there were Brother drivers my laptop still did not recognise my printerShutting down Windows and then restarting with printer turned on and connected does not bring back USB001 connection.Printer and USB cable works fine on friend's Windows 10 la

Any one else having an issue with their Konica Minolta BizHub 363 or not able to connect using the USB, the thread below may help.
It is RESOLVED having found a way to work around the elusive USB001 Port; described as "Virtual Printer Port for USB"

After upgrading to Win 10 from Win 7 Pro, Brother MFC 8500 stopped working.

Printer works with Surface Pro 3 that has USB ports listed in printer port drop down menu.

Tried everything I've read so far on the interwebz.

It appears to be specific to my machine.

What to do?

 

USB001 Printer Port Not in Drop-Down List (Windows 10) - HOW TO ADD a Virtual Printer Port

Hello,

My Printer will not work. I have tried uninstalling the Printer and hoping that Windows 10 will see it but it cannot see the Printer at all. I have tried uninstalling the Driver and downloading the HP Software and Driver again but Windows 10 still does
not see the Printer when rebooted. I have tried uninstalling the USB connections listed in the Device Manager but Windows 10 still does not see the Printer when rebooted. Finally, I figured out that I could manually add the Printer (HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw)
via (HP LaserJet MFP M129-M134 PCLm-S) so now at least it shows on the Control Panel Printer's Area but STILL Windows 10 does not see the Printer. I assume it is because it is physically connected to the PC via a USB cable and the Printer Port "LPT1" needs
to change to "USB001" Virtual Printer Port. I followed the instructions to add a Printer but it says to choose "USB001" Printer Port in the drop-down list but USB001 does not exist. Then I tried the instructions below*** but it did not work because \\computer
name\printer name displayed the error message "Local Port: the network name cannot be found". I managed to create my "Computer Name" under "Network" but don't know how to put the "Printer Name" file there. Please HELP because I am extremely frustrated and
I am sure this is some simple fix --- HOW do I CREATE a USB001 Virtual Printer Port so Windows 10 will actually SEE my Printer?

***Step 1: Check the following setting:

1. Click Start
-> Devices and Printers.

2. Right click on the
printer -> Select Printer properties.

3. Under the
Ports tab -> Clear the
Enable bidirectional support check box.

Step 2: You may also try the following work around:

1. Open Printers by clicking the
Startbutton, clicking
Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound,

and then clicking Printers.

2. Click
Add a printer.

3. In the
Add Printer wizard, click Add a local printer.

4. Click
Create a new port. Make sure Local Port is selected in the list, and then click
Next.

5. In the
Port Name dialog box, type \\computer name\printer name, and then click
OK.

6. Complete the rest of the wizard, and then click
Finish.
