Windows 10: USB3 video capture device appears as audio device

Discus and support USB3 video capture device appears as audio device in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I have a MyGica u800 HDMI capture device that appears as a video device when plugged directly to my USB3 port.     USB3 video capture device appears as audio device


    I have a MyGica u800 HDMI capture device that appears as a video device when plugged directly to my USB3 port. But only appears as an audio device when plugged into a USB3 hub. I have uninstalled the driver and restarted multiple times and run the driver verifier. I am perplexed. Any ideas?

    Could someone recommend any decent/good video capture software?

    Converting hundreds of videos from VHS, Hi8, etc... to DVD

    The capture device hardware I have comes with some crappy software and was looking for something a little better.

    Completely agree on this.
    There's a lot of forum members who work on the post-production/video industry (myself included) and can recommend from the best and most expensive to the most affordable and effective.

    If you want quality captures with no device control you can use Exzvid, TinyTake, SmartPixel, Screenflow, Icecream SR, etc... even VLC can record off almost any capture device but quality isnt so great, yet they're all free alternative.

    If you want/need quality captures with device control or at least a good quality video profile (10bit uyvy420/422 which is close to raw) you will need to shell out some cash and get either sony vegas, adobe premiere, or avid.

    Again, is hard to tell because OP did not specify what kind of capture device he/she's using.
