Windows 10: Use my laptop as a wifi AP?

I use wired ethernet on my laptop, so the wireless goes unused. Thus, I'm wondering if it's possible to set up my laptop as an AP, so that devices like my smartphone can get a better signal when plugged in for charging.

i have lenovo z5170, it had windows 8.1 preinstalled and hotspot apps like mhotspot and connetify were runing well but since i have upgraded to windows 10 i cant even use shareit. in command prompt when i type
netsh wlan show drivers, Supported Hosted Networks the entry is No. and also there is no microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter in network
connections. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME...

This issue usually occur when a drive is outdated or not compatible with the system. Try the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.





I suggest you to update the Wi-Fi adaptor and check. Follow the below information provided.

• Press Windows key + X and click on Device manager.
• Locate for Network Adaptor and expand it.
• Right click on the Wi-Fi driver and click on update.
