Windows 10: Use PIN Pad to Logon issue!

Hello,


I'm using to login to a specific secure page using a smart card.


When requested a pin the below window always until a couple of days appears




Without any obvious reason instead of the above window, the below appears




This request the PIN to be input by using a PIN Pad reader which, obviously never had or needed and there is no way to be able to enter a PIN and to login to the specific location.


No new software was installed nor an change in settings etc.

I have even tried to restrore the Windows by selecting to delete all settings and applications and keeping only personal files with no luck!!


Never had this issue in the past and I have no clue why the default window of Windows for the PIN does not appear.


I dont even know if the category that I have opened this question is the correct one :

Any suggestions?

PIN pad showing on screen in Windows 10

In Windows 10, there is a PIN pad showing on the screen (my brother placed it there) in order to log into the laptop. I want to enter my logon PIN via the keyboard. How do I remove the PIN pad showing on the screen?

If you're having trouble using your PIN to sign into Windows, you can try resetting your PIN. Kindly check this
link regarding PIN sign-in issues.

If that doesn't work. We suggest resetting your PC.

issues with touch pad gestures with a touchscreen laptop

Thanks for the response.

I have tried the steps you suggested. It showed no issues, except to restart my PC. At the point when I performed these steps, I didn't have the issue that I reported - namely, not being able to use touch-pad gestures. Maybe I should try this when the touch-pad
gestures stop working.
