Windows 10: Used Take Ownership on my main user folder and now everything's ****

Hey, I used to take Ownership on my main user folder and now a lot of the windows apps don't work or have problems.this is what happens when I try to use MS Paint, the file that it's mentioning doesn't exist or is hidden I can find WindowsApps even though it's hidden, just not the file inside itThis is what is shown when I try to login to any account other than my main account on the Microsoft Store, only one account works and the others don'tThe mail app opens on a blank screen for 3 seconds and then just closesI also can't add accounts in generalWhat I've Tried: A lot of messing with the p

Forza Horizon 3 Folder Can't Be Uninstalled

Since you already performed some troubleshooting steps and the issues still persists, we suggest that you take ownership of the folder in question and delete it afterwards. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Boot into Safe Mode.
• Right-click on the file or folder you want to delete.
• Click the Security tab.
• Click Advanced and then Owner.
• Check the box next to your user name for Full Control.
• Click Apply and then try deleting the folder again.

Unable to take ownership of a folder.


Hi guys, I am unable to take ownership of a folder with my account which is the only administrator account in my PC.



This is the issue that pops up. I took ownership with the above account as shown below.






I have even applied the changes to all subfolders...but to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

To take ownership of a file or folder

Open File Explorer, and then locate the file or folder you want to take ownership of.

Right-click the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.

Click Edit, and then do one of the following:

To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click Other users and groups and, in Enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.

To change the owner to a user or group that is listed, in the Change owner to box, click the new owner.

(Optional) To change the owner of all subcontainers and objects within the tree, select the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check box.
