Windows 10: Used to have an Internet Connection

Used to have an Internet Connection in the Task Bar. Yesterday for an Unknown Reason I Lost that Connection to this LaptopWhen I try to reconnect the Wi-Fi by going into to Airplane Mode it is Grayed out.Anyone know how I can get Airplane Mode to Reappear

If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi or use the Mobile Data on your HTC 7 Mozart device, we suggest that you follow the steps given on
Lumia troubleshooting and repair. After each step, check to see if your issue has been fixed.

• For issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks, select Connectivity > My phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks, then follow the suggested steps provided.

• And for issues connecting to the internet using a mobile data connection, select

Network and Internet Troubleshooter
and check if there's any changes. To run the
troubleshooter,
follow these steps:

• 
  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Choose
  Network and Internet.
  
• 
  Run the following
  Troubleshooter:
  
  • 
    Internet Connections.
    
  • 
    Network Adapter.
    
  • 
    Incoming Connections.
    

If the issue persists, we suggest that you try to
renew
your
IP address. To do this, follow these steps:

• 
  Open
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command:
  
  • 
    Ipconfig/release
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Ipconfig/renew
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Exit.

Cant connect to internet using Cortana

Hello Bill,

We regret the inconvenience. Let me assist you further.

Sometimes using proxy to connect to the internet may cause issues while connecting to the network.

Follow the steps below to disable proxy:

• Press “Windows Key” + “R”.
• Type “inetcpl.cpl”.
• Go to Connection.
• Click on LAN Settings.
• Check the box which says Automatically detect settings.
• Uncheck the box under Proxy server.

If it still does not help, though you are able to use internet, there could be some problems or some settings which could have stopped Windows services to connect to the internet.

I suggest you to run the Internet connection troubleshooter to fix such issues,

Follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter.

a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

b) Click on Troubleshooting
tab.

c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

d) Select the Internet connections
option from the list.

e) Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.
