    hi

i am working in a school on the network as they have many problems

most of the time users logon with temp profile since a few weeks now and loose all saved data offcourse

i see on many clients users have more than 1 profile

    like user.000, .001, .002, .003, .004

what is the best way to get this resolved ? fresh OS install or delete all profiles ?

    thx

    :)

Multiple Windows.old (000, 001, 002) folders (req for technical documentation)

I know that if you perform a clean install to the same partition as an existing version of

Windows, the contents of the existing Users (or Documents and Settings), Program

Files, and Windows directories will be placed in a directory named Windows.old, and the

old operating system will no longer be available.

But I'm looking for a technical explanation for the creation of the windows.old.000, windows.old.001, windows.old.002, windows.old.003 etc folders.

Become windows.old renamed to windows.old.000 after a new install on the same partition and 000 to 001 ?

I would like to have some technical documentation. (Windows 10 and below)

    Thanks in advance !

    Hello Brian:

Thank you for your answer. However, I could not install the app:

    N900 dead

Strange for sure, as i still can see the usb logo on the n900 screen.

Further to your question, I can see those directories on linux, this is the message:

    001 002 003 004 devices

Just a few more question: What is the R&D Mode that appears on the first step of flasher? It is absolutely necessary to flash first eMMC instead the OS?
