Windows 10: User Account Control Blocking Programs

Discus and support User Account Control Blocking Programs in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I am unable to launch my accounting program after installing it on my new laptop.     User Account Control Blocking Programs


    I am unable to launch my accounting program after installing it on my new laptop. User account control blocks it. How can I get around this?

    User Account Control

    Hello Ridho,

    To enable the User Account Control (UAC) on Windows 10, please follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • Choose between two options to enable UAC:
      • Notify when apps try to make changes to your computer.
      • Always notify when installing or making any changes to your computer.
    • Click OK.
    • Click Yes or enter your password to finalize the change.
    Steps to disable User Account Control (UAC).

    • Click the Start button, type UAC.
    • Click Change User Account Control settings.
    • Click Yes or enter your password.
    • Set the settings to Never notify.
    • Click OK to save the settings.

    User account control

    I had a program which ran fine until the last update. It's called Calendar Creator.

    Today I tried to open it, and received the following message:

    The top section is all in red and reads:

    User Account Control X

    This app has been blocked for your protection.

    ____________________________________________________________

    The part under this line is just in black and white

    An admininstrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator.

    Creator.exe

    Publisher: ......

    File origin:........

    Program Location:....

    Now, I'm signed in as the administrator. I've tried right clicking Creator.exe and then "run as administrator" but pops the same above window up.

    I've checked the "properties" of this file and it has "Full control" for Users and Administrator.

    I've tried running the program DVD to setup the program again but get the same "User Account Control" window except instead of Creator.exe, it list setup.exe

    How can I get this program running again?
