    User Account Deleted

I just installed windows 10. I have two user accounts. One I use for school and one I use recreational. My user account for school is gone. It does not even show up on the login menu. I have many important documents on there. How can I get the account back or at least get the docs back?

    :)

  2. user account deleted but folders cannot be deleted

Thanks for the answer. In the meantime, I went through the registry and changed the path for the former user to mine. Hopefully, the new software will see my account, instead of the other user path.

  3. user account deleted but folders cannot be deleted

Hi Donna. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Unfortunately there's no way to remove the original Account User folder, for some Security reason that goes all the way back but they wont' explain.

Some users claim that they've found a way but I've helped enough recover from Sign in failures that result that I don't recommend them.

I've not heard any reason that it can't be just ignored until you reinstall when it is of course wiped off the PC.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

I had the same thing happen last night. In my case at least the computer name was the same as the deleted computer account. When I tried to re-register it the dialogue said that I cannot have the same computer name and computer account. Silly.

Did you have the same computer name and computer account when yours got deleted?
