Windows 10: User account missing

Hello,I just opened my personal laptop for the first time in a week. Upon booting up, my user profile the only user profile I have ever used on this laptop was missing. The only option I have is to log in as New User with a bar to type in a password. My prior pin and my current Microsoft password do not work, and when I click reset password, I am told that the current password was set by the system administrator. The only other options I have are power, accessibility and internet from the bottom right of the screen, none of which allow me to switch back to my original user account. I have tr

User Account Missing after upgrading to Windows 10

User account not available issue may occur when your lost User account is not a part of any group. Therefore, I would suggest you follow the given steps and see if it helps:

• On the Search bar type “cmd” and
  click ctrl + shift + Enter to open the Elevated Command Prompt.
• Type the following command: net localgroup “Administrators” [Computer Name]\[Missing User] /add

Regarding Kaspersky not compatible, Since we do not deal with third party applications I would suggest contact the third party application manufacturer about the issue.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

I suggest you to check if the user account folders are present in Users folders.

Follow the below steps

In C drive, go to users folder and check if the user account folders are present.

If it is present create a new account and transfer the folders to new account.
