Windows 10: User account

I had an issue with my graphics card that caused my computer to crash. I took it to a pc shop and they installed a new hard drive and re-installed Win 10. When I start the computer up it just says user. I tried to log into my Microsoft account so I could utilize the security features like password or pin at start up but I keep getting a message about a wrong password. Then I went thru the change password protocol and successfully changed the password but I get a window that says we need you to sign into your account one last time it says invalid password again. Does anyone know what's up? Is t

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

I can't rename my user account

  Are you using a Microsoft account or local account?
  

If you are using local account, I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the user name.

Please follow the steps to rename the user account in Windows 10.

a. In the search box, type user accounts and click on User Accounts.

b. Click on “Change your account name”

c. If it’s prompting for password please enter and click on Yes. If you do not have password click on Yes.

d. Enter the new user name.

e. Click on change name.

Problem with user accounts.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Initially, I suggest you to run the Microsoft account troubleshooter.

Step 2:

Now try to switch from Microsoft account to Local account and check.

Refer to these steps to convert Microsoft account into Local User account:
