User accounts created from safe mode with CMD does not show in login screen

Hi! So here's my problem, I got locked out of my main and only one Local Admin Account. I only have one separate account which is a standard userDomain Account, so making changes theree.g Comp Mgmt and Group Policy wont work since it is a standard user . I tried booting with command promptI can use admin here, and tried to create another admin account and also tried enabling the hidden admin. But after I-restarted to my pc to log-in. The hidden admin account can't be found nor the new admin account that I created. I tried logging them in to Other user with .\Administrator and the new ac

  2. Password not accepted in Safe mode

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

    • Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
    • Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
    • What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

    • At the login screen click on the power symbol.

    • Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.

    • After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.

    • Select advanced options under
      Troubleshoot screen.

    • Click on Startup Settings.

    • Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.

Please get back with more information, we will be glad to help you further.

Cannot create a new user account that can be login.

Michelle, I followed exactly all your steps and when in Safe Mode login to the new user account, the same error message about profile service failure appeared. What do you suggest next.

  4. User accounts created from safe mode with CMD does not show in login screen

Windows 10 2004, suddenly login screen can only see "Other user" account on it?!

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re facing issues when logging into the PC, as the only user account shown is Other User. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

I would like to know if you’re aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to boot the PC in to safe mode and check if you are able to login. Refer the section From the sign-in screen in the article Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
    .

If you are able to login to the PC in safe mode, try enabling the default administrator and then login to the PC. Follow the steps mentioned below to enable default administrator.

    1. Press Windows + S key together to open Search.
    2. Now type CMD and select Run as administrator.
    3. Accept the UAC prompts.
    4. Type in the following commands one by one and hit Enter: net user administrator /active:yes

Once the command is successful, try logging into the built-in administrator and see if you’re able to login normally.

If you’re able to login normally then try creating a new user account. Refer the article Create
a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

Note: After finishing the troubleshooting steps disable the built-in administrator using the command: net user administrator /active:no
