  1. User cannot update review/rating after his issue is resolved

So my App got a 1-star rating on the store saying "it doesn't" work. I replied and asked the user to describe the problem to me. We had some email exchange and finally the problem was resolved by re-installing. The user told me he would like to update his review but the store won't let him. Since my App has a quite small user base, I am left with a single 1-star rating and I can only imagine that means the App is more or less dead now, even if the problem was not with the App and is resolved now.

After looking around in the forum, I saw that the "Update Review" function is locked because I have replied to the review, asking the user to send me information about his problem. Really? Does this mean I better leave my clients alone with their problems and hope that they figure out what's wrong themselves because once I step up and offer support, the 1-star rating is set in stone and will last forever.

Come on Microsoft, that cannot be true! Or... can it?

What should I do? What do other developers do? Remove the App and then resubmit under a slightly changed name? Ask friends to create fake reviews to pull up the average rating? I think that should not be allowed under store rules.

So how to handle this situation?

    :)

User.000 issue after updating to 1909

I'm one of the many people suffering from issues with user profiles after applying Update 1909 to Windows 10. I've read all the threads I can find on the topic here and have followed the suggestions, all to no avail. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

After applying Update 1909, the ProfileImagePath was changed to c:\users\User.000
One file that was always in use and couldn't be removed was left in c:\users\User (can't recall or find the exact file now), so I could never rename or remove the c:\user\User directory.

I followed the multiple suggestions from Brink and others:
    • Rebooted at least 6 times
    • Enabled hidden Administrator
    • Booted into Safe Mode
    • Changed ProfileImagePath
    • Tried to rename c:\users\User but couldn't because a file was still in use
    • Copied all data from c:\users\User.000 into c:\users\User
    • Rebooted and had temporary profile
    • Followed steps in Brink tutorial to change ImageProfilePath; rebooted with no change
    • Restored using Restore Point from before Update 1909 - returned to single profile state (User.000)
    • Removed each update that was installed individually and rebooted after each update removal - profile state never changed
    • After all updates were removed, repeated the steps above with hidden Administrator, changing profile, etc. - same issue with file in use in c:\users\User
    • Followed all steps above with hidden Administrator but without copying files from User.000 to User - same results

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Rating & Review Multiple Times by same User is allowed?

Are you sure it's the same user? You can only modify an existing review/rating, not continually add a new one.

    Windows 10 fails to update

    Thanks,

The Users list compared to the Profile list you posted earlier tell me there is not an issue with Users (a known issue where there is a profile in the list, but not actual User folder).

The error code suggests corruption in the CBS manifest:
Try these steps one at time until the issue is resolved or you run out of steps.
