User not associated to Microsoft Login

After kb5012599 and KB5012117 update to my Windows 10 pc, upon restart I saw a brief message that said "problem with your Microsoft account". Now when I log into my PC it does not associate me to my user profile -- so my desktop is generic. I can open my files if I navigate to them. I tried setting User Profile environment variables to the correct path, but they just reset when i logged back in.It appears all recent updates installed correctly. My Microsoft account is working correctly and I can log into it.Help please.

    :)

Want to DELETE second User Account at login

Hello, I'm using a Windows 10 PC and I am the only user. My administrator username is "John Doe".
Recently when I start the PC, I get 2 options for user login-"John Doe", where I click to enter my password and a second option to use a PIN, both have EXACT name "John Doe". The first option asks for a Password- it does not accept any PW I've associated with the account. When selecting the second option, the PIN box appears. I am then able to get to my desktop screen.

I want to do two things: 1) Delete the account that asks for the PW 2) Automatically login and go to my desktop screen. When I go to Control Panel user settings to delete it, there is only ONE account that shows. I've tried at least 6 solutions suggested, none have worked. Probably need step-by-step instructions. Thanks in advance.

    login user corrupt

Hi, I am Van. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

To start you might want to verify first if the login account is visible on the list of Users. Please follow the step below

    1. Open file explorer then right-click This PC> select manage.

    2. On Computer Management choose Local User and Group in the left panel then select Users.

Kindly see on the lists if the name of the account is there.

    To check your user profile.

    1. Right-click again on This PC then select properties.

2.On the Advanced tab. Click setting under User Profiles.

    3. Verify the list of profiles is correct on the list.

As I have analyze your concern. If you delete a login account it will automatically delete its user profile, because your login account is the main component of your user profile. If you delete it, all associated with the account is also deleted including the
profile. but you can delete a user profile without deleting your login account. See the link below for additional reference.
