Windows 10: User Profile Service failed the sign-in.

I just reset the pc via settings in windows 11, and after the reset, it says the “user profile cannot be loaded”. I have tried:Restarting 10 timesBooting into recovery mode, resetting again which gives me the undoing changes result after the reset sequence. I am also not able to reset with the cloud option for both opt to keep files and remove all files. Booting into safe mode, which gives me desktop folder unavailable error.Creating new user in safe mode, cannot select new user to sign in Using cmd to select default administrator for loginUsing a bootable windows 11 usb drive I’ve tried almos

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?

See if you may be able to use OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below to enable the built-in Administrator account at boot.

If so, then sign in to the built-in Administrator account to be able to do the steps in the tutorial below for this error.

I am using registry editor from command prompt. Drilled down to c:windows\system32\config inside the Load Hive dialog window. Have selected (checked box) the SAM file; clicking on Open opens error message that says:


SAM
This file is in use.
Enter a new name or close the file that's open in another program.

I am at a loss, since I am not running any other program!

Any suggestions?

The SAM file is listed as being 64KB file size.
