Windows 10: User profile service failed the sign in

So lately my pc has been a little slow and keeps having input lag whenever I play any games which makes it really frustrating, so I decided to reset my pc completely and remove everything. After I did all the steps it started resetting and then after I got a little blue screenshown below that said "Boot device not found". So my partner said I should download the windows 10 media tool to a usb to insert in my pc and he said that will work, so I did. But then I had another problem. It took me to the main login screen, which showed that my profile was still there with my name which confused me

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?

See if you may be able to use OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below to enable the built-in Administrator account at boot.

If so, then sign in to the built-in Administrator account to be able to do the steps in the tutorial below for this error.

User Profile Service Service failed! User profile cannot be loaded.

I am using registry editor from command prompt. Drilled down to c:windows\system32\config inside the Load Hive dialog window. Have selected (checked box) the SAM file; clicking on Open opens error message that says:


SAM
This file is in use.
Enter a new name or close the file that's open in another program.

I am at a loss, since I am not running any other program!

Any suggestions?

The SAM file is listed as being 64KB file size.
