    Hi there

    I meant EDIT on the actual screen (not the image loaded up to the Forum).

    In some workplaces it's standard policy to LOCK your computer if you leave your desk for any reason. I'd imagine also in a public Wifi place you might need to lock your screen too - you certainly don't want either at LOGON time people seeing your email address.

    If your laptop got stolen or lost -- at least having some type of password affords at least some protection.

    I doubt if I'd want to travel with a laptop where I didn't need a password to sign on.

    BTW I think reverting back to a LOCAL account means you can just use a classic password and forget about the pin.

    As mentioned, the PC is situated in the home.

    The only threat would be if the PC was stolen - pause for thought!

    I agree that the lock screen is useless, pressing any key raises it to reveal your email!
    They should hide the email!
    You can, however, login in to OneDrive and edit your moniker and create an alias email, which doesn't exist and is not verified.
