    I have a machine that has files on it going back to the 90's. I've been cleaning them out and removing old programs. I am running Windows 10 21H1.I still have an old documents and settings folder that is damn near identical to the windows 10 users folder. I think I have moved all the physical document files from D&S to users folders. I had to create temporary folders to hold them because when I moved them into users\username\documents they appeared back in the documents folder under users\username\documents folder that I just tried to take them out of.In both username folders are folde

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Sound card amplification settings

    Yeah unfortunately ASUS and Realtek are not stepping up and fixing this it seems. Wherever I see such problems mentioned on forums some users are suggesting just uninstalling the Realtek driver and using the Windows audio driver.

    Hello,

    I have conducted the above procedure and still cannot access my c:\Documents and settings folder .. I believe my system may have been compromised as I have received a message saying that my kaspersky cannot delete a file due to access not being available.
