  1. Using audio output with a Headset AND Stereo

Im trying to use my Astro A50 headset along with my Sony TV.I want to project audio output to my Sony TV and my Astro A50. I need to be able to use my Astro A50 microphone input while using both audio outputs.I play PC games in my living room on the couch with a headset, and use my headset for audio but also want my TV to project audio at the same time. From what I've tried, the sound settings to use the Stereo Mix as a recording device does not work for me.This is way harder then it needs to be. Just let me use 2 Audio Outputs, is it that hard? I know windows supports this from my understandin

    :)

  3. Output Device for JBL Headset Keeps Disappearing

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It sounds like you're experiencing a common issue where the output device, in this case, your JBL Quantum 400 headset, intermittently disappears from the sound settings. This could be due to driver issues, conflicts with other software, or even problems with the USB connection itself. Here's how you can troubleshoot this problem:

    1. Check USB Connection:
      • Disconnect the headset and reconnect it to a different USB port. Sometimes the problem is with the USB port itself.
      • If you're using a USB hub, try connecting the headset directly to the computer.
    2. Restart Windows Audio Service:
      • Press Win + R type services.msc and press Enter.
      • Find "Windows Audio" in the list, right-click it, and select "Restart."
    3. Update Headset Driver:
      • Go to Device Manager (right-click on Start and select "Device Manager").
      • Expand "Sound, video and game controllers."
      • Find your JBL headset, right-click it, and select "Update driver."
      • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
    4. Reinstall Device:
      • In Device Manager, right-click on your JBL headset and select "Uninstall device."
      • Disconnect the headset, restart your PC, and then reconnect the headset. Windows should attempt to reinstall the device.
    5. Set Default Device:
      • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."
      • In the Sound settings, under "Output," make sure your JBL headset is selected as the default device when it appears.
    6. Disable Audio Enhancements:
      • In Control Panel > Sound > Playback, right-click on your JBL headset and select "Properties."
      • Go to the "Enhancements" tab and check the box that says "Disable all enhancements" or "Disable all sound effects."
    7. Check Nvidia Software:
      • Ensure that Nvidia's software isn't automatically changing your audio devices. Check the Nvidia Control Panel for any settings that might affect audio playback.
    8. Check for Software Conflicts:
      • If you have other audio software installed, such as a digital audio workstation or a virtual audio cable, they might be interfering with your headset. Try disabling or uninstalling other audio software.
    9. Check for Hardware Issues:
      • Test the headset on another computer to ensure the headset itself isn't malfunctioning.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be a more complex hardware issue or an unresolved software issue. In such cases, contacting JBL support for further assistance with their specific product would be advisable.

Using audio output with a Headset AND Stereo

Stereo Mix only works when output device is speakers.

Ok so I have a headset (not a usb one) and when I use stereo mix with the output device as my headphones, it just doesn't play out audio. I want to use stereo mix to play my computer audio out of my mic. If there is an alternative that works better for that I'm all ears.
