Windows 10: Using External Webcam for calling video by teams on tablet Surface Pro 7

Microsoft Modern Webcam can be used as external webcam on PC for calling video by MS Teams. I would like to ask more information:- Can I use Microsoft Modern Webcam as external webcam on Tablet Surface Pro 7 like on PC in a Teams meeting or call?- If yes. Can I use External Webcam such as Logitech, HIKVISION as external webcam instead of Microsoft Modern Webcam on Tablet Surface Pro 7?We are going to use Tablet Surface Pro 7 to call video via Zoom, MS team. But we want to use external camera to enhance the video quality more.Thanks and Regards,Trang

Using an external webcam for photos and video

Hi. I have a C922 Pro Stream Webcam that I use for video calls and would like to use it to take photos and record videos on my laptop. In my integrated camera settings there is no option to switch cameras and I can't figure out how to make my external webcam
override my integrated camera. I've tried disabling my laptop camera but that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

My Webcam is not working with Microsoft Teams

Hi Antonio,

I have gone into settings as you said.

Microsoft Teams is listed under 'Some desktop apps might not appear in the following list or are not affected by this setting' which comes under the 'Allow desktop apps to access your camera'.

The Webcam works with the following apps: -

Windows Camera app

Skype (from Microsoft)

Zoom

I have checked that my Kaspersky software and it is allowing access by Teams to the Webcam. I uninstalled the Webcam driver and then reinstalled it.

As the Webcam works with all other apps then I believe it must be the interaction with Teams and my Webcam.

Please advise next steps please.
