File properties all show up as expected in the properties pane of File Explorer but no preview icon appears, only a grey outline with two blue shaded pyramids and a moon. When I try to open these using Photos no image is displayed but this message shows: “Sorry, Photos can’t open this file because the format is unsupported, or the file is corrupted.” Dozens of other HEIC images open just fine. I have tried downloading these images multiple times. I have tried a group download, and a single download, all with the same results. I have other HEIC photo images that preview in File Exp

2. Convert HEIC to JPEG on your Samsung phone: If you prefer to stick with JPEG, you can change your camera settings on your Samsung phone to save photos as JPEG instead of HEIC. Go to Camera Settings > Format and advanced options > select "JPEG" instead of "HEIF."
   
3. Use a Third-Party HEIC Viewer or Converter: There are several online tools and software that can convert HEIC files to JPEG or other formats, or allow you to view HEIC files directly.

How to change .heic images to .jpeg on Windows 11?

I have hundreds of images on my iPhone 13 with .heic extension. Copied the images to Windows 11 laptop and unable to view them. In addition, I need to bulk convert heic to jpg so I can edit and share them with others. I tested two of free tools suggested by Google but the quality is reduced sharply! Anyone is familiar with this matter? Thanks

 

How can I convert heic images to png on a Windows 10 laptop?

The image size is fine. For photos taken on iPhone, it could be 1920 * 1280. It is the problem with the converter app you are using. This is common issue for devices running iOS 16 or later as Apple changed the heic image algorithms. I am using Tunesbro heic converter app on my Windows 10 laptop and it worked great. You can convert 5 heic images to jpg/png for free. Please refer to a step-by-step guide for that.
