    Using MS Photos to Process Scanned Photographs


    I am planning to create several files of scanned photographs of various sizes and will store them in Pictures on my desktop. Many will not require any editing while some may need some simple editing. They are both black and white and in color. I have disabled One drive and would like to use MS Photos for editing. These pictures obviously don't have any embedded information, and when I do edit one I don't want Photos to move it somewhere else, and I assume it would allow me to go into an existing file to do any editing. There is scant information available and I'd like to reasonably sure th

    Hi
    I use Vuescan scanning software & with it I can select a program (such as MS Photos) to view the scanned photos when scanning is complete.
    For that I would need to enter the location of the MS Photos exe file however, there doesn't seem to be an exe file for MS Photos!
    Can anyone suggest how I can solve this problem.

    Windows version: 20H2

    Unable to find photographs in OneDrive

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I understand that you are unable to see the Photographs that are uploaded in OneDrive. I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to find the files:

    1. Login to
      https://onedirve.live.com       with your Microsoft account.
    2. Check for the folders or files that are uploaded.

    If you are unable to find the photographs, I suggest you to get in touch with the OneDrive support team.

    Sign in to OneDrive.com from any browser, click the ‘?’ help icon on the top banner of the page and select
    Email OneDrive support. Submit your question and follow the prompts to request support.

    Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

    Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

    I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

    Might be helpful to list what i've done Using MS Photos to Process Scanned Photographs :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

    I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
