  1. Using my Microsoft account to log into my Win10, still experience pop-ups asking for admin...

    Hi all.

I've got my laptop freshly reinstalled and the user "user" has been the first entered local one, I presume. So this is THE admin user.

Now I set up my account on my laptop by logging in with my Microsoft account. Every time I install some software, or execute some "shielded" admin operation, I get a pop-up asking for admin "user" password.

Is there any way I can get rid of it and use only my Microsoft account as THE admin on my laptop?

    Thanks,

    F.

    :)

Settings can't be opened using the built-in administrator account

    Hello,
Unfortunately I have the same issue as Dabz from upgrading win7 to win10.
I've tried opening settings using all the suggested methods and it will not load using my account with Administrator access nor the built-in Administrator profile. I also tried other methods not listed such as using Run. Control panel is just a stepping stone to add users in Settings.
I'm also having explorer.exe issues, which I believe is preventing Settings from loading.
Using cmd (Admin) I successfully created a new user profile [and granted admin access also using cmd (Admin)], however win10 will not allow this account to log on. win10 does not list this new user within control panel but it does in the start menu. win10 will not allow to log in or switch to the new account via the start menu either.
I can access settings in Safe Mode but this will not allow me to create a new account.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

  3. How to get rid of stupid "Sign in" screen for real in Win10 ?

I have Admin account plus limited user Microsoft account. Windows 10 asks for sign in because of two accounts. netplwiz has always worked for me.

    1) highlight the account you want to automatically log in.
    2) Check the box to automatically log in.
    3) Click Apply then OK.
    4) It will pop up a box asking for the credentials to automatically sign in. If Windows account, enter the obvious. If it is a Microsoft account, enter your full email address for username and the Microsoft account password for the password. Click OK.
    5) Reboot computer, it should automatically sign into the given account.

You'll have to disable sign out on sleep/resume too as mentioned above. First thing I do is disable sleep so I've never had to deal with that.

Using my Microsoft account to log into my Win10, still experience pop-ups asking for admin...

Win10 multiusers, can't log admin account, user account changed as admin

    OS: Win10 Familly

I have created a new admin account - the last one - starting with p.

    I observe the following:

The first admin - the first on the list, starting with A - is the one I can't log in, but can run apps with its password.

I see that although both are administrator passwords, the first one is HomeUsers while the newly created is Utilisateurs (Users in English).

    • So they are different, what about UAC???
    • Should I modify admin p from Users to HomeUsers so that it's identical to admin A??
    • When it'll be done with p, can I delete admin user A without consequences?

      Thanks
