    Using older HP 9800 printer using WIndows 10 generic driver how to check ink levels


    I'm using an older HP 9800 wide format printer with the generic HP/Windows printer driver. It works fine, but I think I'm running out of ink in one color, but don't have the driver software to check the levels. Any ideas, other than to make a page with colors and print it?

    ink levels in the printer

    Hi Judith, according to HP . . .

    Turn on the printer and make sure that it is in a ready state and is connected to the computer

    Search Windows for HP, and then click your printer name from the list of results.

    If HP Solution Center displays in the results, click it

    Estimated ink or toner levels display on the home window of the printer software
