Windows 10: Using Realtek HD audio manager's playback sounds WAY better than what is recorded. What is...

When I use Realtek HD audio manager and select playback through the audio microphone tab, it produces a lot less noise than what is heard when heard through recordings. There is a lot less buzzing, and there is almost no high pitched ringing noise. Why is this, and is there a fix?

No Playback Device Option in Realtek HD Audio Manager

I would like to switch the audio output between front headset and rear speaker in Realtek HD Audio Manager. I remember before there was a "Playback Device" option in the software. Then, choose "make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously" But it missing.

Win 10, No sound, No playback/Recording devices, Audio devices not responding

Issue

Since last night after downloading the latest nvidia driver from their sources, I'm faced with the issue of getting no sound from my computer. As well as that, the audio icon at the bottom right of my screen has a red "x" and no longer functions correctly.
Instead when I click it, it takes me directly to the troubleshooter which concludes with "Audio services not responding - Not fixed". By right clicking, I'm able to access the sounds menu, but both the playback device list and the recording device list is
completely empty.

Running on Windows 10 64bit

Sound Driver being Realtek HD Audio R279

Some useful things to note:

According to Device Manager, Realtek HD Audio is "working properly".

When running a program that uses different driver such as ASIO the sound come's through without a problem, but still the Audio icon located at the bottom right remains completely useless.

What I have tried:

Tried rolling back Nvidia driver.

Tried reinstalling Nvidia driver.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek HD Audio sound driver.

Tried replacing Realtek HD Audio sound driver with it's latest version from the Realtek website.

Tried running the "Play Audio Troubleshooter": Audio services not responding - not fixed.

Tried restarting the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services.

 

Realtek Audio Manager No Longer Available in Device Manager

Funny thing happened after this past Wednesday's Windows 10 update. The Realtek Audio Manager which I've been using for years is no longer listed or available in Device Manager. Anywhere. Realtek HD audio is enabled in startup.

When I select 5.1 sound in the "Configure Speakers" tab in the Sound/Playback window I have no sound other than for the Front Left/Right speakers. The Center, Subwoofer and two rear speakers show the little animation that you get when you test the speakers
but nothing is heard.

I've used the MSI utility to re-install the Realtek HD Audio Drivers for my motherboard. No change.

Anyone have any ideas?
